The Statesman is a student-led newspaper made to inform the students of Heights High School and encourage critical thinking on relevant topics. In addition to significant events and award-winning clubs, we will focus on the clubs, events, and organizations at our school that often receive less attention. “We’re a big school; it’s easy not to see the big picture of what goes on here,” says Mr. Johnson, the former advisor of The Statesman (previously known as The Reagan Statesman). We believe that the future of journalism is multimedia. This issue includes both print and digital publications. Moving forward, we will concentrate on regularly updating our website.
